Titanium Backup has been updated to v5.4.0.1

  • [PRO] Added experimental support for extracting apps/data from Nandroid (eg: CWM) backups that are split into several chunks.

Titanium Backup has been updated to v5.4.0

  • Added full support for Android 4.1 “Jelly Bean”.
  • [PRO] Added the ability to backup the system browser bookmarks, call log or SMS/MMS to a standard XML file that can either be sent or saved locally. XML files contain your data in clear text, and can be restored on any device/ROM. Hit MENU to access this new feature.
  • [PRO] Added the ability to save exported “.TiBkp” and CSV files locally.
  • Added necessary permissions to access the system browser bookmarks, call log and SMS/MMS.
  • Improved backup speed when making new backups of the same app versions (eg: scheduled backups).

Titanium Backup has been updated to v5.3.2

  • Added support for system apps located in /vendor/app. They can be un-installed and their updates can be integrated (tested on a Sony-Ericsson Xperia Arc).
  • Added new “Backup new user+system apps & newer versions” batch job, which is now part of the default scheduled jobs that are created on a fresh TB install.
  • Added proper handling of devices that don’t have an Android ID.
  • Improved progress dialogs to not cancel when touching outside on ICS.
  • Improved “Restore from Nandroid” feature to display a notification to recommend a reboot after restoring data only for a system app.

  • [PRO] Added the ability to change the device’s Android ID. The ID can be newly created, restored after a factory reset or restored from a backup. When TB is launched after a factory reset, it displays a warning message with the choice to either keep the new ID or restore the previous one.
  • Added support for CWM/TWRP backups on eMMC memory. If backups exist on several locations (eg: on both internal & external memory), all of them will be shown.
  • Added support for external SD card on Samsung Galaxy S3.
  • Added an “invert selection” feature to all the app selection screens.

  • Added new setting for Google Drive, to choose between deleting files permanently (the default) or moving them to Trash.
  • Improved Google Drive code to fully support Android 2.2.x and earlier.
  • Fixed infamous Google Drive bug which caused some files to be uploaded multiple times. No special action is needed: just upgrade TB and launch a sync. Any extraneous files will be removed from your Google Drive automatically.
  • Fixed Google Drive folder creation bug: if the target path was at least 3 levels deep (eg: Backup/MyDevice/TB) the 3rd level got duplicated on every sync.
  • Minor bugfixes & GUI tweaks.
